MD of Bighorn

For your convenience, Recycle Depots are set up in several locations throughout the MD of Bighorn. These depots can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Dead Man’s Flats (located on Second Avenue – near lift station)

Exshaw (located on Mount Allen Drive – north of fire hall)

Harvie Heights (located on Bow River Drive – across from postal kiosk)

Lac Des Arcs (located McGillivary Lane – beside garbage bins)

Jamieson Road (located beside the fire hall)

Ghost River (located on Highway 940 - west of the Summer Village of Waiperous)

The following items are collected at each of the MD of Bighorn’s Recycle Depots, with the exception of Dead Man’s Flats. A Plastics (mixed) bin will be coming soon to this site.

Cardboard and boxboard
Glass
Magazines (into same bin as Newspaper)
Metal food cans
Milk cartons
Milk jugs -plastic
Newspaper (into same bin as Magazines)
Paper - mixed
Plastic - mixed

Please ensure that recyclables and garbage are placed inside the containers to reduce the possibility of attracting wildlife to the depots.

Please flatten your recyclables whenever possible and place them in the appropriate containers.
